The Walking group meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from late September to Mid May.

Our walks are designed to be moderately easy, on hill/mountain paths, roads or tracks and should not be too difficult for the average walker.

The walks last between 2 and 3.5 hours with breaks for drinks of water and for taking pictures of the beautiful countryside.  Group members undertake all walks at their own risk

On the day of the walk, we meet at a Cafe/Bar for a coffee before starting the walk. After the walk we may have lunch at a restaurant. If a suitable restaurant is not available we will have a picnic during the walk.

If a walk has to be cancelled or postponed, we will email group members by 6pm the day before the walk so please check your emails the night before the walk.In the event of an emergency cancellation we will contact walkers by phone on the morning of the walk.

Dogs are normally welcome but need to be kept under control at all times.

You would be very welcome to join our Group and should contact Barry Purvis at walkers@u3a-oliv.org

We are always looking for volunteers to lead a walk.  Should you be interested in volunteering, please contact Barry.

Below are just a few photos fromBarry and Jan's walk at Beniarbeig on April 3rd 2019. It was a different experience, needing to  walk in the disused water trough with just an inch of rainwater left from heavy rains of the last few days. The walk was followed by lunch at Frattelli's.
